Mates everywhere
I'm from Ireland. I've lived in the Netherlands and Spain, travelled a lot, and now I live in Port Macquarie. My mates are spread across a lot of time zones, and keeping up with them is the one part of social media I never wanted to give up.
The trouble was it was buried under everything else. So I built Present.
Just the people you know, wherever they are
On Present your feed is only your mates, in the order things happened, wherever they are. No strangers and no suggested posts, so there's nothing to wade through to find them. When you've caught up, the feed ends.
Moments across the world
On a mate's post from the last 48 hours, you can start a moment with your own photo or video, from wherever you are. Both your friend groups see the two posts side by side, with one conversation under them.
One of my mates in Austria posted a video of them dishing out tiramisu, just as I was about to eat some tiramisu chocolate here in Australia. So I made a moment, and both our friend groups saw them together. It's a way of being present with people, at the same time, from opposite sides of the world. How moments work.
Where everyone's been
Every post is pinned where it happened, so the map ends up showing your whole crew spread across the world. For each post you choose the exact spot, just the area, or no location at all.
In your own time
Your mates post when it suits them, and you catch up when it suits you. The feed is in the order things happened, so nothing gets buried overnight. Messages live on the posts, so a photo from the other side of the world turns into a chat with the people who care about it.
Bring your crew
Present works best when your mates are on it too. Share a post to your story as a card with your invite link, and they can join straight from it. It's on iPhone, in 175 countries.
