Present 2.1: moments from anywhere, and share cards

Moments you can start yourself, from anywhere in the world, and new share cards for posting outside Present.

Present 2.1 is out today at 5pm on the App Store.

Moments you can start. Moments used to form only when connected friends posted from the same place at the same time. They still do. Now you can also start one yourself: on a mate's post from the last 48 hours, tap Create a moment and take a photo or video, from anywhere in the world. The posts go together on one card, with one conversation, and both friend groups see it. It means you can be present with your mates at the same time, even from the other side of the world. Whether a post can go into moments is set on the capture review screen before you post it, so there's no asking or waiting afterwards. Moments last 48 hours, and every post keeps the conversation after that.

Share cards. Any post, moment or profile can now be shared outside Present as a card, in colours and Australian patterns, with as much detail as you choose, from just the verify code to the full capture details. Cards come shaped for Instagram Stories in one tap, and every post and moment card carries a verify code, so anyone can check it's real at prsnt.au.

Invite links. A card can carry your invite link, so your mates can join straight from your story.
